The task

Stop with the bow at a mooring buoy, heading into a 10-knot wind.

Practises: Approaching into the wind, judging the stop. Finish inside par with no touch for full marks.

Boat and conditions

Yard Pass $1.95/month or $19.50/year · Free during preview: other boats and your own wind and current.

Before you start

Short bursts in gear, then coast in neutral: that is how the drill is meant to be done. Stop with a bump astern. North is up; the wind arrow shows where the wind blows to.

A practice game with simplified physics, not instruction. What it leaves out.
